Step by step
Install your sign
Mark the position
Measure the installation area and draw a level reference line for the lightbox or mounting bracket.
Mark the fixing points
Hold the bracket or use the lightbox dimensions to transfer each mounting point accurately to the wall.
Install the wall fixings
Check for hidden services, drill the wall and install fixings rated for both the wall construction and the sign weight.
Lift and secure
With enough people supporting the weight, lift the lightbox into position and secure every mounting point.
Connect and test
Ask a qualified electrician to complete the power connection and test the illumination before final inspection.
Important: Lightboxes can be heavy. Use suitable lifting equipment and a professional installer for large, exterior or high-level signs. A qualified electrician must complete hardwired connections.
Common questions
Need to check something?
Which wall fixings should I use?
The correct fixing depends on the wall construction and sign weight. Ask an experienced installer or suitable tradesperson if fixings were not specified with your order.
Can a lightbox be installed outdoors?
Only install it outdoors when the order specification confirms it is exterior rated. All mounting and electrical sealing must suit the location.
